Ikkei Uemura

Founder & CEO, Riv Inc.

Ikkei Uemura is the Founder and CEO of Riv Inc., a company building AI-powered automation infrastructure for external food supply chain data.

He has been deeply connected to the food industry through his family background and entrepreneurial journey. His father operated restaurants, and his grandfather worked in the food manufacturing industry. Growing up close to food businesses gave him a strong belief that food is not just a product, but an essential part of people's lives, memories, and society.

Before founding Riv Inc., Ikkei built and operated businesses across apparel, software development, and technology services. He also developed a service that helped restaurants utilize idle space, reflecting his long-standing interest in food, operations, and infrastructure.

With Riv Inc., Ikkei is focused on solving one of the food industry's most important problems: critical supplier and partner data still lives outside the enterprise in fragmented, hard-to-use formats.

His vision is to build a world where external food supply chain data can be collected automatically, made usable, trusted, and available in real time, enabling safer, faster, and more intelligent food commerce.

A Message from Our CEO

A Message from Our CEO

Food is deeply connected to people's lives and memories.

But behind every product on the shelf, there is a complex supply chain that still depends on manually collecting data from suppliers, documents, portals, spreadsheets, and emails.

I believe the food industry needs a new automation layer for external data.

Our goal is not simply to digitize existing documents. Our goal is to create a future where supplier data, compliance information, traceability records, and transaction intelligence can be collected, validated, and made usable automatically.

That is why we are building Cibus OS.

We want to help make food commerce more transparent, resilient, and trustworthy.
